38" x 32" This piece depicts the reflection of a Volkswagon beetle in the open car door of another VW beetle. Most of us have a connection to a VW beetle from the past. It is interesting to me that this car become such an American icon of an era when it was not even made in this country. I have many fond memories of my 'beetle'. The pieces were fused to the surface and then the edges were quilted around with invisible thread. The border is a photo collage of VWs using photos I took at a VW car show.

2001 42" x 29" This piece was done for a nursery using fusible web, beads and sequins with a prismacolor face. Sold

The iris image was worked into a felt background using wool and silk roving. Marshall Lind, Photographer
